I had reservations about this short little book. I neednt have worried. Dead Man Talking is a great piece of writing; funny, wry, touching with shades of light and dark.
It was a delight to read. The book has a dead-pan quality to it which is delightful at times/5. When Dead Man Talking opens, Pepper is back to work in Cleveland, but not at Garden View Cemetery.
This outing finds her at the less glorious Monroe Street Cemetery (even the name is boring). While it will never be another Garden View, Pepper has been put in charge of the restoration of Monroe Street/5(24). Written in a rapid-fire manner, each scene will tell a piece Quirky, chaotic and filled with supernatural threats, A.J.
